Man arrested for allegedly molesting woman while sitting beside her on bus

A 46-year-old man was arrested on Oct 9 for allegedly molesting a woman on a public bus.
The victim, a 38-year-old woman, made a police report on Oct 5 about the incident.Officers from Jurong Police Division established the identity of the suspect through ground enquiries and arrested him.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the man had molested the victim while he was seated beside her.He will be charged in court on Oct 10.Anyone convicted for the offence of outrage of modesty can be jailed up to 2 years, with fine, caning, or with any combination of such punishments.
